When “Sweet Home Sextuplets” first premiered, it provided a close-up view of the Waldrop family’s everyday routine as they dealt with the difficulties of parenting nine young children, from constant feedings to huge diaper duty.
The Waldrop family’s tale is still being told seven years after the cameras stopped rolling, and their nine kids have developed into a lively, dynamic group. A closer look at their ascent to fame and current status is provided below.
Getting to Know the Waldrops
Eric and Courtney Waldrop had no intention of becoming well-known. However, their transformation from a couple from a little Alabama town to the stars of a popular TLC show won over hearts all throughout the nation.

With one remarkable pregnancy, the Waldrops’ once peaceful lives in Albertville appeared to change overnight, growing from a family of five to eleven.
Having a large family was always a desire of the couple, who were married in 2004 after meeting in the eighth grade. Saylor Waldrop, their first son, was born in December 2008, and the twins Bridge and Wales Waldrop were born in January 2012.
After experiencing multiple devastating miscarriages, Courtney decided to undergo reproductive treatments, which ultimately resulted in the birth of the twins.
Unfortunately, prior to the pregnancy that would alter everything, she also experienced another miscarriage.

The Waldrops found out they were expecting three boys and three daughters in 2017. Emotions were flooded by the news.
Courtney, a mother of three and first-grade teacher, acknowledged that she was frightened when physicians revealed she was expecting six children:
“I was quite afraid. Being a girl with a smaller frame, my initial concern was how I would manage to bring six children here without causing harm to either of us. A great deal of terror was present. We were unsure of what to think or do.
Despite the high danger and uncertainty of the pregnancy, Courtney maintained her optimism, characterizing the experience as one that was filled with “fears, excitements, worry, happiness — everything.”
The odds-defying sextuplets, Blu, Layke, Tag, Rawlings, Rayne, and Rivers Waldrop, were born in Huntsville Hospital on the day of delivery, just under 30 weeks.

The family exhaled a collective sigh of relief when they discovered that the babies were healthy despite their early arrival. The public’s attention was immediately drawn to the fact that the Waldrops were now officially a family of eleven.
Soon after, “Sweet Home Sextuplets,” a reality series that chronicled the Waldrops’ daily lives as they managed to raise nine children, presented the family to audiences on TLC.
The show gave viewers a close-up view of their home, and viewers were immediately captivated by the family’s joyous chaos and modest religion.
But from the start, Courtney and Eric were clear that stardom wasn’t their aim. Eric clarified:
“We didn’t enter this with the intention of becoming — I detest the word — famous people. We would like to demonstrate to the world our blessings and what God has done for us.”
Another important topic of the show was how strong their marriage was. “I know that people would just say I’m just saying this, but honestly, I would say that our relationship is stronger now than ever,” Courtney stated.

“He is my pillar of support and helps me get through our nine children together. We must support one another,” she continued.
Although their marriage remained the cornerstone, the early episodes of the series brought to light the family’s strong sense of community support in addition to the practical challenges.
To assist with mounting costs, neighbors planned a 5K fundraiser after they announced their pregnancy. Friends and extended relatives stepped in to help with the babies’ care after they were born.
In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, the Waldrops held the 5K again the following year to raise money for neighborhood charities.
As the realities of raising nine children kicked in, such as during one of the most memorable scenes in the series, when Eric and Courtney took all of their children out in public for the first time, that kind of support became even more crucial.

The couple had spent hours getting ready for the Sunday morning church excursion. Twelve pacifiers, eight bottles, several packs of wipes, six clothes, six blankets, and tens of diapers were all on their packing list, which was military-grade.
It was a significant occasion that demonstrated the family’s progress from heartache and uncertainty to a boisterous, loving home full of diapers, laughter, and a great deal of collaboration.
Seven years later, the mayhem has calmed down, and the nine Waldrop kids have developed into a vibrant, close-knit community, each with their own unique personality. Here is a sneak peek at their current appearance.
The Sextuplets
Out of the sextuplets, the three females have settled into the dancing industry. Rawlings, Rayne, and Rivers, now seven, were photographed on a porch on May 11, 2025, wearing orange tutus and matching dancing outfits with sprinkling themes.
The girls, who were taking part for the fourth year, had just participated in a dance recital, according to the description. The family squeezed the event in despite having a busy schedule.
“In this house it blows in every direction and you better just hang on!” was a humorous caption that made fun of the chaos. However, it claimed that the females were experts at adapting to their surroundings.
The sextuplet crew’s boys, Blu, Layke, and Tag, have all taken to baseball. There are now six Waldrop boys in uniform after the three recently joined their older brothers on the pitch.
These three are coming into their own, gaining confidence and talent whether it’s running bases or getting ready in matching Dodgers jerseys.
Courtney posted on Instagram that although her sons are still the “little boys” of the group, they have begun to feel more like the big kids, especially since taking on more responsibility alongside their older brothers.
The sextuplets marked another year of milestones and experiences when they celebrated their seventh birthday earlier this year.
A video from February 27 shows the six siblings enjoying their special day with family while eating cupcakes and surrounded by colorful party decorations.
The children had pleaded “60 times a day” to know when their party would take place, according to the caption. Ultimately, they were able to celebrate and “had a blast.”
Only a few weeks later, on April 17, a brand-new image was posted on Instagram. It featured Courtney smiling while crouching next to the six children, who were all lined up on a sunny porch wearing matching spring attire. A commenter said, “Little cuties!”
“It’s unbelievable how large they are. I can still recall when your show was aired.
One netizen commented, “They were so tiny.” Someone another said, “This is SO beautiful!!💖💙And these babies are getting BIG🎉🎉🎉.” A third merely said, “They are growing up!!!!” in agreement.
In order to show her fans how much the sextuplets have matured, Courtney also posted a video montage of them.

The fact that two of the six have vivid blue eyes while the rest have brown ones, however, was quickly brought to viewers’ attention. This detail generated admiration and curiosity in the comments section.
One user said, “I find it fascinating that two of them have blue eyes and the others have brown ones,” while another person questioned, “Only two have blue eyes? What color eyes do your three elder boys have?
Other comments centered on specific highlights, such as “Rawlings’ eyes are beyond beautiful!!” and “Omg beautiful blue eyes😍😍😍.” Another person commented, “Wow, both of them have really lovely, stunning eyes.”
Saylor
In December 2024, Saylor, the eldest member of the Waldrop crew, had her 16th birthday. He was seen smiling confidently into the camera while standing outside wearing trousers and a navy sweater in pictures that were uploaded on December 23.
His sixteenth birthday was noted in the caption, which also noted how rapidly he had matured.
The update, which called him “an incredible boy” and “a great role model for all the little ones,” reflected the family’s joy in the young man he has grown into.
Bridge and Wales
The Waldrop twins are officially teenagers at the age of 13, a milestone that seemed to come suddenly. The boys were seen standing next to one other, dressed in jeans and a warm sweatshirt, amid the fall leaves in a post dated January 18, 2025.
The caption emphasized their strong relationship and toasted their 13th birthday. The moment she learned they were twins was a “double blessing” following a miscarriage, according to Courtney.
The boys are “full of so much energy,” according to her, and they have a “inseparable” bond. In a heartwarming familial echo that spans decades, the writer also mentioned how much they resemble her father and his twin brother.
The Waldrop children continue to develop, not only in size but also in spirit, talent, and character, from birthdays to baseball fields, dance recitals to adolescent milestones.
They stay rooted in the love and faith that have molded their remarkable journey from the beginning, even as they embark on new phases.
